Environmentally conscious wood harvesting
At Fontaine Sawmill, located in East Montpelier, we are a family owned lumber yard with locally harvested logs. We can mill lumber and beams in custom sizes that fit your building projects. Environmentally conscious consumers appreciate that every part of the tree is utilized.
- Tree bark is ground into red hemlock mulch in our mulch tub grinder.
- Raw edges are ground up in a wood chipper, which provides us with an ample supply of chips for all your yard and gardening needs.
- Wood shavings and sawdust are generated in the milling and planing processes which supply the local farmers.
Here at Fontaine Sawmill, we use local logs, sustainably harvested, to create your dimensional lumber and beams for your building projects with no waste generated.
